FAQ's

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

I always offer a free no-obligation 15-minute initial assessment so you can ask any questions, find out about the therapy I offer, and get a sense of whether this feels a good fit for you.

How much does therapy cost?

Initial Assessment (15 minutes) - Free of Charge
Face to face Session (50 minutes) - £50
Online Session - (50 minutes) - £50

Block Booking - (6 x 50-minute sessions) - £270

*Discount for the block booking can be applied after first session if block is paid in full.

How does therapy work?

The first step is a telephone assessment. This is an opportunity for us to explore what your current difficulties are, and what outcomes you would like to achieve. Following this assessment, should you decide to proceed with therapy you will be asked whether you wish to meet in-person or online. You can opt for a regular session at the same time either weekly or fortnightly or if your commitments vary opt for differing times as you go (subject to availability). Your sessions will always be client-led meaning you will always lead your therapeutic journey, and I will work with you to help and support you in overcoming the problems you are experiencing.

How long does therapy last?

Each session is 50 minutes in length, and it is recommended that you ideally commit to a minimum course of 6 sessions as this allows time for us to really understand your difficulties and begin to move towards your goals. You may find after this time you have achieved what you need, or you may wish to continue with regular ‘top up’ sessions to maintain your wellbeing progress. You are free to make these decisions as you go.

What happens if I can’t make a session?

Your timeslot is reserved exclusively for you, and although life can sometimes get in the way of attending, you are asked to advise of any cancellations with as much notice as possible. Where there is availability, I will endeavour to offer an alternative appointment or in the event of illness such as Covid or transport difficulties you have the option to change your in-person appointment to an online session, however this is always subject to an appropriate confidential space being available to you.

A 50% session fee will be charged for all appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the planned appointment time.

Payment is requested by BACS (bank transfer) 24 hours before the appointment time. If payment is not received, it will be assumed the session is not going ahead.

Where does therapy take place?

In-person sessions are held at a discreet, confidential and safe therapeutic space in Park Gate, Southampton. Online sessions are held via Whereby or Zoom, however as previously stated are subject to an appropriate confidential space being available to you. This can be discussed during our initial assessment.

Is there parking at the venue?

A parking space is provided for clients whilst they are attending their in-person appointment. I kindly ask that you remove your vehicle once your session is over so the next client can benefit from this free of charge facility.

How do I book?

Initial bookings can be made via the telephone or email address on the contact page. Your enquiry is important to me, therefore I will endeavour to reply to you within 24 hours.
